If you're looking for a professional bio, you might want to visit my LinkedIn. I pay the bills on this domain, so what you're witnessing is my story exactly as I want to tell it...
Never really imagined I would get paid for art growing up. Still kinda weird thinking about it..so how'd it happen, right? In between my 1st and 2nd year of grad school, I didnt have the cutest opportunities that students from others schools get over the summer. Rather than letting that failure hold me back, I started to teach myself graphic and web design.
My new skills and a plug from good friend led to my first role as a marketing lead. I knocked it out the park. My passion for Black owned business led me to quickly transition to taking on more work with the Ypsilanti/ Ann Arbor Black Chamber of Commerce. After I left grad school, I headed straight to New York City to continue my work at the Harlem Business Alliance. Working at HBA was like a dream, I was surrounded by a close-knit team in the epicenter of Blackness. What more could a Blerd millenial ask for?
The opportunity to continue that work with other Black companies and organizations that need help developing their digital presence.
